Back by popular demand (and her parents request that she be home for Christmas), Madde Gibba returns Minneapolis for another musical improv workshop! Do you love music? Do you sing songs in your car that you make up? Congratulations, you're a budding musical improviser! Whether you are brand new to the art form, or want to hone your skills, this brand new 3-hour workshop will focus on song structure and creating a full musical. With Theater for Public Policy music director, Dennis Curley on the keys!
Instructor: Madde Gibba is a New York-based educator and actor who could most recently be found slinging funny haha's on the high seas with Second City Theatricals. She is a contributor to the online satirical magazine reductress.com and regularly writes and performs all over the country. Madde performs her original musical sketch and improv comedy regularly at The PIT, Magnet, and Duplex theaters in New York, as well as UCB and Comedy Central Stages in Los Angeles. Originally from Minnesota, she has performed with Tony Award-winning companies such as The Guthrie and Children's Theater Company and is an alumni and teacher of Brave New Workshop, the country's oldest satirical comedy theater. She was a full-time teacher with Interact Center, a theater company for adults withdisabilities. She has toured with her original sketch comedy shows at the New York Sketch Fest, short-form improv with Comedy Sportz: TC, and her improvised rock concert, Madde Gibba: Does Not Play Well With Others--which has appeared at both the Chicago Improv Festival and New York Musical Improv Festival.
